Course Goals and Achievements

   In the beginning of this course, I wanted to develop my experience in editing softwares, improve skills in critiquing the aesthetics, composition, and artistic qualities of photographic works, and advance my photo portfolio and progress my artistic abilities. I believe I achieved these goals through this course. Our assignments on critiquing photography helped me to learn about the artistic aspects of photography and what photographs means, rather than just deciding whether or not we like it based on the aestheticism. I also edited photos using Lightroom and VSCO, and learned more about composition, lighting, and evaluative aspects of photography, which I will carry with me as I progress in my expression.
